Winter

Hi all. Note that the Enthusiast magazine's latest occasional issue has been published by enthusiastic people in Bangor. They're so great. I particularly like their musing on winter (you'll need to scroll down their front page) Winter comes and goes. Here at the pond, as the ice creaks against the shore, and the wind whistles in from the mid-Atlantic, and as the military personnel helicopters sketch fault lines across the horizon, we are settling down for a long, cold one. It was a beautiful autumn, all pumpkin and golden, like somebody had taken a spray can and graffitied ‘wistfulness’ across the trees...

I'm trying to remember the rest of the parody that starts off "Autumn! Season of mists and yellow frightfulness"...
