Bit of politics
Apparently Margaret Thatcher may not be long for this world, and there's talk of giving her a state funeral.
Surely this would be the ultimate insult to a prime minister who believed so fervently in the superiority of the free market? Why should the state interfere in an industry where the private sector is already providing a perfectly good service? State funerals are the council houses of the dead.

I understand from Wikipedia that a state funeral would require a vote in parliament (OK) *and* for the body to be carried on a gun carriage from a private (not council) chapel to Westminster hall by members of the Royal Navy.
Have gun carriages been mentioned in the SDR? Are we keeping them? Or will they have to do it with a tank?
And, indeed, will there be enough spare naval ratings around to pull a gun carriage? They may have to make do with a couple of Sea Cadets and a shopping trolley.
