I know it is properly worked out physics, and they've got equations and everything, but isn't it indistinguishable from an entirely magical world-view? It delights me childishly that when you really get down to it, reality makes no sense at all. Or rather, it doesn't make sense to a mechanic, but it would to a shaman.
