Seasonal scicomm

Haven't posted for a while. Thought it was about time. See that piccy? That's the first couple of steps of generating what, in limit, becomes a Koch snowflake. But can't find a picture of a finished one. Anyone?

I assume you've all seen the NORAD Santa tracker, but NASA interviewed the man himself a few years back about interplanetary Christmas deliveries -- reindeer routes to human colonies on the Moon, Mars etc. With NASA's recent announcement this is becoming a more urgent issue. Snopes has a nice piece on Rudolph. And another on why he's probably female.

"...Then all the reindeer loved her, and they shouted out with glee..." Yup. Still works.

Quite like this one from last year, too. Very Heston Blumenthal.

Right. Back to work.

Oh, moving pictures. Always have to go one better, don't you?

And Soph linked to the Martian calendar in the comments here.

I'd forgotten how silly that thread got.

Aha. Should have guessed. Gool ol' Wikipedia has that 'finished' Koch curve just waiting for me.
