My sister is now working as a recruitment consultant. I feel this is the epitome of a pointless parasitic profession, although possibly slightly less morally dubious than her previous job as accountant for a drug company. And yet the parents think *I'm* the one who doesn't have a proper job! Go figure.
Anyway, she needs to recruit someone for a short term contract (c3months) as a sort of online community manager/ host. Half editorial, half marketing/PR - commissioning and writing articles for the site and also organising events, marketing, etc.
The community 'is about new online stuff'. Not particularly cutting edge, users would be, say, retail marketing people who want to find out what things like user-generated content/web 2.0 can do for them. The person to do the job short term wouldn't need to be expert, but just have a vague idea.
Would suit someone looking for a stop gap for the moment, or maybe younger friends/colleagues - second jobber typey thing - with a vague interest in the area. If you don't know anyone who'd want it, any ideas where to advertise it, without paying a fortune for Media Guardian?
